It's not end of Urmila Matondkar movie career yet
Even though Urmila Matondkar is making an entry into mainline TV shows (these days it means reality
shows), she says it's not the end of her movie career yet.
"Movies have always been the be-all and end-all for me. I cannot
imagine my existence without films," she said. Nevertheless TV is
definitely an alternative career route for her, the actress confirms.
"I have never limited myself. I have constantly experimented with new
things and have delivered the best I could. Television is exciting me
now but cinema is my first love and will always be," the actor said.
But why isn't this Bollywood 'A-lister' not to be seen in many movies these days?
"I have (a lot of) projects with me. But currently I'm filming only Karz and will take up more films if it (the script) excites me," she added.
Urmila is not the only big Bollywood star to be seduced by the small screen. From the likes of King Khan to Amitabh Bachchan to Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, all have fallen prey to the medium which has a much wider reach than cinema. And it actually ended up giving their careers a much-needed boost. It only needs to be seen whether the same magic formula works for Urmila or not.
